Description

Grade II. House. Dated 1781 on stone tablet to centre of N.W. front. Red brick, projecting plinth, parapet with plain stone coping, gauged brick heads to windows. 2-span hipped old tile roof, brick chimneys. 3 storeys, 3 bays. N.W. and S.W. fronts have 3-pane sashes, smaller to second floor. S.W. side has central 6-panelled door and semi-circular radiating fanlight in plain reveals with fluted architrave surround. Wooden porch with Ionic columns supporting frieze with delicate roundels and moulded cornice. N.W. front has central half-glazed door with similar fanlight and wooden doorcase of Doric pilasters, frieze and cornice. S.E. front has french doors to ground floor centre and first floor, and 2-tier verandah of slender wooden columns and trellis work with lead roof. Later extensions to N.E. side (B1).
