Description

Grade II. House. C17, altered and much extended late C18 and late C19. 3 original bays have timber frame with brick infill in N.W. wall, partly obscured by whitewashed brick lean-to. Front to S.E. rebuilt mid C18 in red and blue header brick with broad first floor band course, moulded eaves and coursed rubble stone plinth. Late C19 wing to S.E. is of red brick, part colourwashed and with some tile-hanging. Late C18 wing projecting from N.W. corner is of colourwashed brick with moulded eaves. Old tile roofs, brick chimneys. 2 storeys. N.W. side has irregular wooden casements and sashes and large canted C20 porch in N.E. angle. S.E. front of original bays has late C19 sashes, 2 to each outer bay of ground floor with concrete lintels, paired to first floor right. Central 6-panelled door with semi-circular radiating fanlight; fine rusticated wooden doorcase with pilasters and open dentilled pediment (B1).
