Description

Grade II. Hotel, formed from two houses. C18, incorporating earlier timber framed fabric. Red brick, tiled roof, LH house higher with flanking chimneys with panels, front parapet and 2 flat roofed dormers. RH house has lower roof with moulded wood eaves cornice. 2 storeys, LH house has 1st floor band and 5 bays of sash windows with flat gauged brick arches, central door in C20 glazed porch. 2 sashes to RH 3-light window and narrow sash to LH. RH house has 3 bays, 4 pane upper sashes flanking 3-pane central sash, central early C20 door in older wood doorcase having pilasters and flat hood, flanked by tripartite sashes with gauged flat arches. RH gable has exposed timber framing. RCHM.I. p.306 MON.7 (B1).
