Description

Grade II. House. C18 encasing an earlier building, red and blue brick, old tile roof with 1 brick chimney, moulded eaves cornice. 2-storeys and basement. Irregular 4 bay front of sash windows with segmental arched heads. Tripartite windows to LH bay, 6 panel door in second bay from LH in grooved frame with grooves carried over brackets supporting flat hood. 1 bay of sash windows to RH gable wall from which projects the large west wing, partly vitreous brick in header bond with red brick dressings tiled roof, 2 brick chimneys, 2 storeys, 3 wide bays of upper sash windows, canted bay to LH of ground floor with sash window and moulded cornice. Attached front garden wall has C19 plain spear head iron railings. RCHM I.p.311 MON. 48 (Hazeldean) (B1).
