Grade II. House, C17 altered C18 and C19. Timber framed; covered with painted stucco, flint and brick to gable, brick infill to rear. Old tiled roof, old central chimney with 2 diamond shafts, later chimney to RH end. 2-storeys, gable to LH, 4 bay front of 3-light sash windows, 1-light above door in 2nd bay from LH, deeply recessed with wide architrave. Rear wing has exposed timber framing and oversailing upper floor. RCHM I p.309 MON.34 (Ivy House)(B1).

Ivy House is two-storeyed, built late in the C16th or early in the C17th, on a rectangular plan. A SW wing, with a small staircase wing on its North side, was added later in the C17th, a NW wing at the end of the C17th, or early in the C18th, and there are also modern additions. The East front is covered with cement, the overhanging upper storey has been underbuilt, but the doorway remains in its original position. The North end of the main block is gabled and timber-framed with brick filling. The SW wing has old timber-framing with modern brick filling, and at the West end, a half-hipped gable. The North wing is of brick and has two gables on the West side. The roofs are tiled. The main block and the SW wing have central chimney stacks of old thin bricks. Condition -Good (B2).
