Description

Grade II. Public House. C18 altered C19. Painted stucco over brick. Old tile roof, raised in height, so that tall central brick stack with band course is on the front slope. 2 storeys. 2 sash windows 4 panes wide in reveals to 1st floor. 2 early C19 canted bay windows to ground floor flanking central 6-panel door (2 rows of 3 panels) under flat cornice hood on cut brackets. Wrought iron sign holder with scroll ornament (B1).
In 1578 mentioned as part of Joan Bradshaw charity. List of documentary evidence (B2).
