Description

Grade II Cottage. C17 altered; timber framed with colourwashed brick infill and extensions. Thatched roof hipped on E., half hipped on W. Brick stack behind ridge to LH of centre. 1 eyebrow eaves dormer in centre. 1-storey and attic. N. front has door opposite stack with thatched canopy. Irregular casements with modern leaded glazing. Small brick outshot porch to RH with thatched roof carried down over. Later chimney to RH gable; garden front has 1 central dormer, modern thatched bay window to LH, thatched kitchen extension to RH. Interior has large inglenook fireplace and exposed timber framing. RCHM I p.51. MON.19 (B1).
