Grade II. C18. Two storeys. Rubble stone with brick dressings. Old tile roof with end chimneys. Three widely spaced bays, 6 panel central door in arched brick opening with radiating fanlight. Barred sash windows. Service extension to north and small wing at right angles with irregular casements, door and hipped old tile roof (B1).
Article on the documentary evidence for Long Crendon vicarages and glebe lands, suggests that Mulberry House may have originated as the demesne farmhouse of Notley Manor and the home of the bailiff in the 17th century, before being given to the vicar in about 1741 as part of the glebe land. In the early 1830s the Rev Thomas Hayton remodelled the farmhouse, adding a new wing, kitchen and outhouse and was living in the refurbished vicarage by 1835 (B2).
In the valuation survey of 1910-14 the property comprised a 'hall, drawing room, dining room, kitchen, larder, scullery, cellar, 2 bedrooms, box room, 2 small bedrooms. Old stable used as a parish room with study over, cycle house, stone barn, coalhouse. Orchard, garden' (B3).
