Description

Grade II. C18 perhaps earlier. Two storeys, timber-frame, rubble stone and brick, both colour washed. Old tiled roof, half hipped to road; 2 storey square bay window with tiled offset. South elevation has 4 panel door with hood on open brackets, 3-light casement to right and 2-light leaded casement beyond. Wooden oriel on left of door. Two barred sashes to first floor. North elevation has lean-to wooden porch over cellar steps, small window to right, similar on left and 2-light leaded casement beyond. Three-light leaded casement above this. Oak lintels. Ammonite fossil set in wall here. One storey and attic wing on north-east timber-framed with brick infill, tiled roof, 3-light casement on right, one-light on left, 4-light upper casement in north gable, low service wing attached. East gable colour washed rubble. Rubble stone boundary wall to road, raised in brick in front of house with wrought iron gate with spearheads. Stone and brick outbuilding with tiled roof. Rubble wall of limestone mixed with iron stone blocks along boundary with Eight Bells Public House car park (CASS 1087800000)(B1).
