Description

SITE OF SMALL ALIEN PRIORY OF FONTEVRAULT, MID C12-C15, ALSO PROBABLY SITE OF DOMESDAY ROYAL MANOR. TOTALLY EXCAVATED IN ADVANCE OF QUARRY WORKINGS. ALSO EVIDENCE FOR OCCUPATION FROM PREHISTORIC TO ROMAN, SAXON & LATER MED PERIODS TO C17/C18 (FULL DETAILS AT BEDS SMR & B16).
