('A' SP 78653136; 'B' SP 78713142) Two mounds lying in a field called 'Berry Ground' (a), where the approximate site of a windmill is shown on the Salden Estate Map c1600. The Whaddon Chase Enclosure Map shows a horseshoe pond in the same position. Field called 'Windmill Close'. Sherds of Md potery found in 1973. The mound 'A' identified by Bull as a possible barrow and 'B' a low windmill mound (B6).
In a level field are two ploughed-down elongated mounds (A and B) each c 0.5m high, but too amorphous to enable classification or survey action. Mound 'A' is approximately 20.0m NW-SE by 15.0 transversely; and 'B' is about 25.0m NE-SW by 16.0m transversely, though the NE arc of the latter is destroyed by a hedge/ditch line.
No soil discolouration and no finds made. Both mounds are indistinguishable from each other, and, as the field name suggests, are probably the remains of windmill mounds (B7).
