Description
Grade II. Cottage. C17-early C18. Whitewashed roughcast over timber frame, greensand rubble plinth. Thatched roof, rendered central chimney. 1 ½ storeys, 2 bays. Paired leaded casements in left bay and to first floor right. Upper windows are in thatch and have diamond leading, the right window having one light with leading missing. Central lobby entry with board door in trellis porch. C19 extensions to right, small C20 extensions with flat roof to rear (B1).
AVDC Conservation team note that the single story rear extension contained a large brick built bread oven with cast iron door with maker's name, probably dating to the late C19 (B2).
