Description
Grade II. Former village school, now a house. Late C19. Brick with a stone sill band and some dressings. Old tile roof. Letter - L plan and single storey, now with inserted upper floor. Porch under extended eaves in angle. Gable ends have 4-light arched window with mullions and transoms and trefoil heads. Other windows mullioned and transomed. Stack in angle and at left with single diagonal flues. Lean-to roofed addition to north. Conversion to house involved new windows below sill band on gable elevations and some rooflights. Included for its group value and important central position in the village (B1).
