Description
Grade II. Pair of cottages. C17 with C19 left bay. Timber framed with plastered infill on a rubblestone plinth. Left bay rubblestone with brick dressings. Brick lean-to at left with old tile roof. Main roof concrete pantiles. 4 bays and 2 storeys. Off-centre glazed door in second bay from left. 2 left bays (Cornerstones) have 2-light casements, upper floor ones are horizontal sliding sashes. Right hand 2 bays (Laburnham Cottage) has 3-light ground floor casements, first floor has two 2-light casements in third bay and one 2-light casement in right bay. Stacks between middle bays and to gables, right hand one with rubblestone base and offsets. Interior has inglenook fireplace and chamfered and stopped spine beams. RCHM I. 248. MON.11 (B1).
