Description

Grade II. House. Late C16, extended C17. Timber-framed with colourwashed plaster and colourwashed brick infill. Half-hipped thatched roof. 3 bays and 1½ storeys. At left a single storey colourwashed modern addition with a plain tiled roof and two 2-light casements. At right is a garage addition with a plain tiled roof. Door at right of centre bay with small window to its right. 3-light casement to left and 2-light to right. 2 eaves dormers to right hand bays. Between these bays is small stair window under eaves. C16 brick stack between right hand bays with stairs in front. Left hand gable stack. Interior: C16 stack has stone fireplace arches, chamfered 4-centred to right hand ground floor, depressed arched to first floor both sides, but chamfered timber lintel to left hand ground floor side. Chamfered spine beams. Oven at rear of stack projects into garden and has thatched catslide roof. RCHM.1.217.MON.12 (B1).
