Description

Grade II. House, now pair of cottages. C15, altered C19 and extended C20. Witchert, colourwashed and roughcast on rubblestone plinth incorporating C15 cruck truss. Plain tile roof replaces thatched one. 3 bays and 1½ storeys, No.26 has single storey hipped roof addition, and No.28 is two west bays, the left hand one a modern addition. 2-light casements, mostly leaded. South elevation has 3 windows and 3 dormers. C17 brick stack between west bays and to east gable. 2 doors on north side. Medieval cruck truss on party wall and No.26 has large open fireplace and original bays have chamfered and stopped spine beams (B1).
