Description
Grade II. Cottage. C18. Colourwashed brick. Hipped old tile roof. 2 bays and 2 storeys. Central panelled door in modern gabled porch. Blank window panel above. 2-light casements under flat arches. Centre stack. Rubble plinth and moulded brick eaves. At left 2 bay, 1½ storey wing with modern casements and 2 doors. East gable has 2-light casements (B1).
'The Grapes' recorded in November 1872 Return of Licensed Public Houses and Beer Houses as having opened in 1842 (B2).
Not shown as a public house on first edition 25-inch OS map, so presumanly had closed by 1879 (B3).
