Description
Grade II. Farmhouse. C17, altered C18. Rubblestone colourwashed. Old tile roof. 3 wide bays, 2 storeys. Centre door with 3 pane fanlight over and cut bracket hood. Left hand bay has blocked doorway to right of window. 3-light casements, the right hand first floor ones leaded. Left hand gable stack. Left gable has band course and is colourwashed and roughcast. Right gable elevation has 3-light casements to ground floor and attic. Right bay has lateral stack to rear elevation with 3 diagonal brick shafts. Outshot to rear of left hand bay. Central staircase window at rear has leaded cross-casement. 3-light dormer to rear of left bay. Interior has wide fireplace to lateral stack and chamfered and stopped spine beams. RCHM I.113. Cowley Farm is a small C17th two-storeyed building with stone walls. The plan is L-shaped. Condition - Good (B2).
