Description

Grade II. Barns. C17-C18. North range and part of east range rubblestone, east range remainder timber framed and weather boarded. Old tile roofs. North barn 5 bays with central wagon entry, porch to south with weatherboarded gable, eaves at left extended to form open shed. Double purlin roof with tie and collar trusses. At left 4 bay stable range with boarded over loft entry, 2 stable doors and windows. Brick gable to road with loft door. Extending south from end bay is single storey open shed with hipped roof. East range has one stone bay, then C18 timber framed barn of 3 wide bays and half hipped south gable. Central cart doors, garage door in left bay a modern insertion. Curved principal trusses to double purlin roof. The ranges form a letter L plan grouping with Townhill Farmhouse to the south (B1).
