Description
Grade II. Cottage. C17, altered C19. Whitewashed render. Right end wall and central truss are timber framed, front and rear walls mostly rebuilt in brick C19. Thatched roof on raised eaves, flanking chimneys of whitewashed brick. 2 storeys, 2 bays. Leaded casements, 2-light to ground floor left, remainder 3-light, those to ground floor with segmental heads. Central board door with C20 thatched hood. C19 lean-to extension to left with 3-light leaded casement. Lean-to shed of weatherboard and thatch to right. Interior has deeply chamfered spine beams and spiral staircase in line with chimney (B1).
Thatch appears to have been replaced by tile sometime before 2001.
