1876 MAP MARKS BRICKWORKS & 'WELL' AT NGR (BI1). DIRECTORIES 1883: 'COLEMAN J, AUSTENWOOD, BRICKMAKER'; 1887-95: 'KIRBYE, AUSTENWOOD, BRICK MANUFACTURER; 1899-1903: 'COLEMAN J, BUILDER, BRICK & OVEN TILE MANUFACTURER' (BI2). BRICKS WERE MAIN PRODUCT. WORKS CLOSED DUE TO LACK OF CLAY. NOW BUILT OVER(BI3)
