FRAGMENT OF GILDED DISC, WITH GOLD REMAINING IN RECESSES. OPPOSED HATCHED DESIGN IN BOXES: CENTRE MAY BE 1 ARM OF A CROSS. DESIGN APPEARS TO BE CAST, THEN GILDED. COULD BE A DECORATIVE PLAQUE FROM A MEDIEVAL BOX, BUT MORE LIKELY A DISC BROOCH, DESPITE LACK OF PIN/CATCH PLATE. FOUND BY P SMITH. (DRAWING)(B1).
