Description
Renovation of C17 cottage involved underpinning SE wall. Excavation below SE bay of NE wall revealed a series of large stones, up to 0.7m long, 0.5m below present wall base; also parts of 2 vertical scantling posts, oak? Features prob belong to an earlier structure on same wall line as present one (B2).
