Description

COPROLITE WORKINGS WERE KNOWN TO HAVE TAKEN PLACE NEAR THE CANAL BETWEEN BUCKLAND & PUTTENHAM FROM 1874-5. ON THE ROAD NW FROM BUCKLAND A COPROLITE PIT WAS SEEN [BY THE GEOLOGICAL SURVEY] NEAR THE CANAL, 8-10FT DEEP WITH THE SEAM 18IN THICK (B1-2).
