Description

BY SEPT 1874 PARTS OF W BURDETT'S FARM, MR BUCKMASTER'S ARABLE FIELD, HARROWELL'S FIELDS & JASON PROCTOR'S MEADOW WERE BEING DUG FOR COPROLITES. AN ENGINE HOUSE WAS MARKED ON MAPS AT SP939 178, SUGGESTING THE FOSSILS WERE WASHED BY A STEAM-POWERED WASHMILL (FURTHER DETAIL & MAP) (B1-2).
