SHIELD, WITH FLEUR-DE-LYS DEVICES, PROBABLY USED FOR DECORATING LEATHERWORK ON ITEMS OF PERSONAL DRESS. PROBABLY EARLY C14. THE FLEUR-DE-LYS COULD REFER TO A LOCAL FAMILY THOUGH THEY MAY HAVE NO HERALDIC MEANING. PERHAPS ARMS OF 'FRANCE ANCIENT', PRE-1400, WITH THE BLUE DECAYED TO RED(BI1-2)
