A STRAIGHT SIDED PIT 30CM DEEP, 50CM WIDE (N-S). W EXTENT OF FEATURE UNKNOWN. FILL OF PEBBLES & ROMAN TILE FRAGMENTS UP TO 12CM. SIMILAR BRICKS & UNGLAZED BROWNISH POTTERY REPORTEDLY FOUND IN INSTALLING DRAINAGE IN PLAYING FIELDS TO S, MAY REPRESENT A MORE EXTENSIVE ROMAN SETTLEMENT (B1).
