Description

REPORT OF 'LOADS OF HUMAN BONES' IN SEWER WORKS AT PRISON. VISIT NOTES HUMAN(?) BONE IN TRENCH ON PERIMETER ROAD: REMAINS OF RIBS & 1 VERTEBRA. TRACES OF GRAVE(?), ALIGNED E-W, FILLED WITH LIME(?), BUT TOO SMALL FOR FULL SKELETON, SEEN IN TRENCH SIDE. PROBABLY GRAVE OF EXECUTED PRISONER, POST 1845 PERIOD (B6).
