IN A TAXATION LIST OF 1217 CHALUELEIA WAS SUFFICIENTLY LARGE TO BE TAXED SEPARATELY, ALTHOUGH AMONG THE SMALLEST OF TAX-PAYING VILLAGES. AS A VILLAGE NOTHING IS HEARD OF IT AFTER THE END OF THE C13. REPRESENTED TODAY BY CHAWLEY FARM, WEST WYCOMBE (B1).
