Description

Old hamlet of Flaunden lay around ruined chapel on county boundary where there are traces of cottages (B1,B6).
Pair of cottages shown on 1838 map at TQ0086 9870. No field names to suggest a deserted village (B4).
No visible surveyable remains of village but site distinguishable by surface debris (B7).
Pair of cottages also shown on 1898 2nd edn 25-inch OS map (B23).
