AN EXTENSIVE AREA OF SLAG VISIBLE ALONG A LARGE LYNCHET; MAY BE ASSOCIATED WITH A ROMANO-BRITISH IRON SMELTING INDUSTRY (CF CASS 5761) ALTHOUGH NO POTTERY WAS FOUND HERE. AREA OF IRON WORKING MAY BE MORE EXTENSIVE THAN IS VISIBLE ON THE GROUND(BI1)
