'IN 1926 A CINERARY URN OF COARSE POTTERY WAS UNEARTHED BY WORKMEN IN A GRAVEL PIT AT FARNHAM COURT & DATED BY THE BRITISH MUSEUM AS 500BC, A FACT WHICH SUGGESTS THERE WAS PROBABLY AN IRON AGE HOMESTEAD HERE' (BI1). 'GRAVEL PIT' ON OS MAPS ADJACENT TO FARNHAM COURT. NGR TO THIS (BI2)
