FOUND ON STRIPPED SURFACE PRIOR TO LAYING OF RICKMANSWORTH WATER CO'S NEW MAIN: SPREAD OF C.30 LATE C12/EARLY C13 SAND TEMPERED SHERDS SUGGESTING MEDIEVAL OCCUPATION AT LYE GREEN. SOME C16 & LATER POTTERY ALSO FOUND (B1-2).
GIVEN TO BCM: 3 SANDY MED RIMS (1 JUG SPOUT), 1 GLAZED ?BRILL & 31 UNGLAZED SHERDS (B3).
