Description

IN DIGGING A CHANNEL TO REMOVE FLOOD WATER A MORTAR PLATFORM CONTAINING TILE & A LITTLE BRICK WAS EXPOSED 20CM BELOW TURF LINE. MOST SHERDS FOUND HERE WERE MEDIEVAL (FEWER THAN 006/2), SUGGESTING OCCUPATION WAS LIMITED, NOT CONTINUING INTO POST-MED. USUAL OCCUPATION DEBRIS, SHELL, BONE, TILE, FOUND (B1).
