Description

FIELDWALKING FINDS 1097 MED SHERDS INCLUDING GLAZED SHERDS, MISC HANDLES, RIMS BASES ETC. ALSO 165 POST-MED & OTHER SHERDS OF INDETERMINATE DATE (SEE CATALOGUE & MAP FILED) (B2&4). Plot of medieval rims only shows strong focus at centre of area (E24) which possibly indicates the presence of a farmstead rather than the site being part of Halton village. Only 10% of the Med sherds glazed. 52 rim sherds in total (B3).
