Description

PRELIMINARY ASSESSMENT OF AREA OF FORMER BACK GARDENS TO BE DEVELOPED BY AVDC FOR OLD PEOPLE'S HOUSING PRODUCED A FEW MEDIEVAL SHERDS FROM ALLOTMENT PLOTS (B1).
TRIAL TRENCHING BY COUNTY MUSEUM ARCHAEOLOGICAL SERVICE IN JANUARY 1990 REVEALED A MEDIEVAL TILE KILN AND POTTERY KILN, BOTH OF THE 14TH CENTURY, AND A SAND PIT. AN 18TH CENTURY HA-HA TO BRILL HOUSE WAS ALSO DISCOVERED (B2).
