REMAINS OF GRAVEL QUARRY IN NE CORNER OF WOOD, 30-40M ACROSS, 8-9M DEEP; SHOWN ON OS 1883 6INCH MAP. 5 SMALL PITS ON W SIDE OF WOOD: LARGEST C.3M LONG, 1.5 -2M WIDE OVAL, 1M DEEP. POSSIBLY SAW PITS. REMAINS OF QUARRY IN N PART OF WOOD. NOT SHOWN ON 1883 MAP (B1).
