Description

Plan Form - RECTANGULAR
A FISHPOND IN LITTLE QUEEN'S CLOSE, AT SP 76853723. ANOTHER FISHPOND LIES TO N OF MOAT (MOAT IS AT SP7718 3715). NGR TO CENTRE OF SETTLEMENT EARTHWORKS (B1). Detailed earthwork survey shows 'fishponds' as rather amorphous earthworks. 3 ponds along the north and east boundaries of the field to the east of the farmhouse are clearly defined, with 2 retaining water, but these may be post-medieval garden features rather than medieval fishponds (B4).
