Description

Dimensions - Length 68mm, Width 53mm, Thickness 27mm.
MIDDLE PORTION OF A GROUND & POLISHED AXE, WITH SLIGHTLY FLATTENED SIDES. BROKEN AT BOTH ENDS: AT BLADE END FLAKE SCARS ARE UNPATINATED; AT BUTT-END THEY HAVE A WHITE PATINA. WHOLE IS BATTERED & WORN BUT SCARS SUGGEST REWORKING. WHITE PATINA OVER ORANGE FLINT (FURTHER DISCUSSION & ILLUS)(B1-2).
