Plan Form - L SHAPED
Grade II. House. C17-C18, altered. Coursed rubble stone, rendered quoins and bonded window surrounds. Tiled roof,flanking brick chimneys. L-plan. 2 storeys, 3 irregular bays. Barred sash windows. Staircase window in central bay above small barred casement. Ground floor and central windows have keyblock motifs. 2 gabled dormers. Circa 1950 porch between left-hand bays is of rubble stone with dressed stone coping to gable and Tudor archway with flat hoodmould. Lean-to to right. Range at right-angles to rear left has 4-panesash to ground floor and C17 4-light wooden mullion window above. Interior has late C17-early C18 staircase with turned balusters. RCHM II p.189. HOUSE OF 2 STOREYS & ATTIC, 3 IRREGULAR BAYS. COURSED RUBBLE STONE, ROOFS TILED. BUILT C17, BUT MUCH ALTERED EARLY C20. RANGE AT RIGHT ANGLES TO REAR LEFT HAS C17 4-LIGHT WOODEN MULLION WINDOW. INTERIOR HAS LATE C17-EARLY C18 STAIRCASE (FURTHER DESCRIPTION)(B3).

SP 64492289 Moat (NR) (B6).
Remains of a moat, consisting of two ponds and slight traces of a ditch in the field S of Westbury Manor House. The remains of the moat are two ponds and slight indications of a ditch in the field South of the house. Condition - Good; much altered (B3).
The feature is an irregular pond containing one tiny island. Another pond to the W has been filled in.
The entire field is criss-crossed with ditches typifying small enclosures and shrinkage but no moat proper is to be seen. 1:2500 survey revised (B7).
No change since report of 18.7.73 (B8).
Westbury Manor, house and moat. The house is two-storeyed with an attic, and built of stone partly covered with rough-cast. The roofs are tiled. It was built in the C17th on an L-shaped plan, but has been almost completely altered recently.
