Description
BRONZE CELT, EXHIBITED BY MR J PARKER, HIGH WYCOMBE. FROM DEADMAN-DANE BOTTOM, WYCOMBE HEATH (B1). BRONZE PALSTAVE FOUND AT DEADMAN DEAN PRESENTED TO BCM BY HIGH WYCOMBE MUSEUM (B2). 'DEADMAN DEAN BOTTOM' SHOWN APPROX AT NGR (B3).
A bronze palstave found at Deadman Dean, High Wycombe, was presented to the County Museum, Aylesbury, by the High Wycombe Museum. (B4)
Deadman,Dane or Dean Bottom is the name applied to a deep ravine near Hazlemere (SU 895960) running at right angles to the high road from Wycombe to Amersham. (Note Deadmondean Road' SU 896960, along such a ravine on OA 6" 1961.) (B5).
