Description

1767 MAP SHOWS A BRICK KILN IN HEARNTON WOOD (B1).
FOLLOWING UP MR H GREEN'S CONFIRMATION THAT KILN STILL EXISTED, A FIELD VISIT SHOWED A MASS OF FLINT TUMBLE INCORPORATING BRICK, WITH BRICK PITS TO N & S, CENTRED AT NGR (B2).
