Description

97 SHERDS RECOVERED, ALL RESIDUAL; MOST SMALL & ABRADED. ONLY 6 RIM & 3 BASE SHERDS RECOGNISABLE. MOST APPEARED TO BE GREY/OXIDISED VERULAMIUM WARE. A FEW LATE OXFORD SHERDS PRESENT. ROMAN SHERDS PROBABLY DUE TO MANURING. NO NEW EVIDENCE HERE FOR ROMAN SETTLEMENT (B1).
