Plan Form - RECTANGULAR
Grade II. Barn and stables. Early C19, Timber frame and weatherboard, brick plinth, plain tile roofs. Stable has timber posts with later brick infill on side to road. Barn is of 8 bays with cart entries to bays 3 and 6. Yard side has gabled projections to entries, and lean-to brick stables and sheds to remaining bays. Double purlin roof with small raking posts to lower purlins, collars, and curved braces to tie-beams. Stable at E. end has 3 stable doors and 2 windows. All included for group value (B2).
BARN I VERY LARGE. 2 THRESHING FLOORS. 30X6. 45M. BARN II SIMILAR TO I BUT ONLY 1 SET OF DOORS. ORIGINAL WOODEN THRESHING FLOOR. FURTHER DETAIL, PHOTOS. STABLES: IMPORTANT BUILDING, IN PRIME CONDITION; LATE C18? INTERNALLY ARE 6 STALLS AND 1 LOOSE BOX ALL WITH ORIGINAL FEED TROUGHS INTACT.
