FITTING. CENTRAL COLLAR WITH 2 INCOMPLETE 'WINGS' ON EACH SIDE, 1 WITH A RING-AND-DOT MOTIF ON 1 FACE AND PERIMETER INCISIONS ON 1 EDGE. DECORATION SUGGESTS LATER ROMAN. A ROD OR TANG MAY HAVE PASSED THROUGH CENTRE OF COLLAR, PERHAPS A TERMINAL FOR A TANGED TOOL OR WEAPON. FOUND BY H HANSON, SBMDC (B1).
