TIP OF LATE BRONZE AGE SOCKETED AXE FOUND BY S BUCKS METAL DETECTOR CLUB ON 28 AUG 1983. FROM FIELD ADJOINING NW CORNER OF GREAT COCKSHOOTS WOOD, CENTRED AT NGR. MAJORITY OF FINDS BELIEVED TO HAVE COME FROM S THIRD OF FIELD. AXE GIVEN TO THE MUSEUM BY THE FINDER MR R WEBB (B1).
