Description

RB SHERDS, ALL IN SOAPY 'N BUCKS' FABRIC. 14 SHERDS; 1 STORAGE JAR RIM; 2 JAR RIMS (1 BEADED WITH SLASHING ON TOP); 1 FOOT RING BASE; 1 PLAIN BASE; 1 FLANGE DR.38 TYPE IN BRICKY NON-OXFORD FABRIC, ?C3-4. FROM C 1KM WSW OF HORWOOD HOUSE- NGR GIVEN BY FINDER. NB- METAL DETECTOR USED; NO METAL FINDS (B1).
Fields to N and S of pottery scatter checked for finds but no further traces found (B2).

(Sited to locality SP 78 29). A scatter of Romano-British pottery, mostly in 'soapy' N Bucks fabric. A C3-4 date is probable (B3).
