Description

Plan Form - CRUCIFORM
Grade II. C19 folly cottage. Flint and rubble with a little brick; slate roof with 3 brick chimneys rising on outside walls. Originally consisted only of the octagonal tower which rises to 2 storeys and has windows in alternate sides. One-storey surrounding buildings added. North front has open porch of 4 round brick columns and flat roof. The windows mostly have small paned glazing but some have Gothick glazing bars (B3).
C18 OR C19 FOLLY COTTAGE OR LODGE. MADE OF DARK RANDOM STONE & SOME BRICK DRESSED WITH UNKNAPPED FLINTS. SOME PATTERNING WITH BOTTLE-BOTTOMS. SLATE ROOF WITH 3 TALL CHIMNEYS (B1-2).
