BRITISH GAS NUFFIELD-ASCOT PIPE MAIN: SITE NA540. SMALL SHALLOW HEARTH OR ASH PIT VISIBLE IN W FACE OF TRENCH. CUT INTO SUBSOIL, LIGHT BROWN SILTY CLAY LOAM, WITH FILL OF DARK BROWN SAND CONTAINING BURNT FLINT, CLINKER/SLAG & CHARCOAL. 1 SMALL FRAG TILE OR BRICK FOUND. SECTION NOT DRAWN (B1).
