LETTER 26 JULY 1790 FROM RICHARD EARLE WELBY TO JOHN TIREL-MORIN OF WEEDON LODGE CONTAINS OPINION ON PROPERTIES OF CHADWELL SPRING IN WEEDON (B1). CHATTLE LEYS/CHADWELL: HERE IS WEEDON WELL, TODAY A SPRING-FED POND FOR STOCK. NAME 'WEEDON WELL' SUGGESTS IT WAS ONCE MORE A PUBLIC SOURCE THAN PRIVATE (B2).
